Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 1st May 2021, J Sibera Trophy 300 Yards.

Saturdays 300 yards round of the J Sibera Trophy allowed shooters to test out their equipment with very light wind and mirage giving some great shooting conditions.

Graeme Bright led the way in Target Rifle dropping just one point in each stage for the day with John Coghill next best starting each stage with a run of centre bulls but unfortunately didn’t keep up the momentum during each stage. Ron Gibson kept his shots centred in the conditions but lost points due to some vertical dispersion of shots.

In F Class Geoff Willis top scored for the day after a good finish to his second stage to be just one point ahead of Jeff Eppleston who led the way with his impressive first stage possible with Col Howell also only one point behind the lead after losing one point during each stage. Nick Webster lost a few points with a slightly bigger group on the small 300 yard centre to hold a four point advantage over visiting shooter Mal Wright with Steve Pelin finishing two points further behind.

The C R Kelly Cup completed on the 17th April at 900 yards was won by Graham Willis with the runner up Charlie Bennett who only recently started shooting, I think he will soon have his name on a few trophies. The winner of the J Sibera Trophy is Jeff Eppleston (299.58) with runner up Graeme Bright (296.75).

Next shoot is on Saturday 8th May for the start of the W & J Brown Trophy from 700 yards.
