Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 3^rd December 2022, Captains Trophy 800 yards.

          Saturday presented some very nice weather for shooting the first stage of the Captains Trophy from 800 yards with the majority of shooters achieving scores above their handicap. The light easterly breeze varied throughout as it picked up and dropped to almost nothing during the afternoon then increasing slightly in strength later.

          Graeme Bright led the Target Rifle shooters for the day by six points ahead of Gordon Shepherd and Ron Gibson with John Coghill finishing a few points away next. James Clarke had great results shooting in Sporter class only losing one point early in his first stage and then backing up with a possible second stage score.

          Graham Willis topped the F Class field by a countback to Auskir Berryman who shot exceptionally well given his lack of practice lately. Geoff Willis followed one point away and with just one super centre advantage over Col Howell with Mal Wright next followed by Ben Wright and then Phil Mahon.

          The winner of the Captains Trophy will be decided after the second round at 900 yards next Saturday 10^th December.
