Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 17th June 2023 500 yards Series 1/2

          Saturdays second round of Series 1 from 500 yards was held in magnificent weather with a light north easterly breeze that remained reasonably steady for most of the time with a few tricky changes during the middle of the afternoon allowing most shooters to better their handicap or go very close.

          Graeme Bright was the only shooter to achieve a double possible to lead the Target Rifle shooters with Dennis Lavelle scoring well to finish next ahead of John Coghill. Sporter Class shooter James Clarke had a great day dropping just one point during his second stage score.

          F Class Standard shooter Jeff Eppleston also had a great day dropping only one point during his second stage to lead the field with Phil Mahon two points away and one point ahead of Auskir Berryman, Graham Willis and Col Howell who were separated by a few super centres. Nick Webster led the next group ahead of Dave Butler and then Khoby West-Kennett with visiting shooter John Pugh scoring well at his first experience of long range target shooting. The F Open Class shooters had more of a hard time managing the conditions with Geoff Willis finishing one point ahead of Mal Wright and then Ben Wright.
