Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 25th. January 2020, 500yds. Gilmour Cup. Saturday’s second round of the Gilmour Cup competition from 500 yards started with a brief delay due to rain then saw light but inconsistent and switching winds during most of the afternoon to again hamper shooters chances of an exceptional score although there were some short periods of lull that may have been capitalised on before the last few to shoot were treated to strong winds as the clouds rolled back in. Of the Target Rifle shooters Ron Gibson had a consistent day dropping three points in each stage to be six points down for the day and take the honours over Dennis Lavelle who started off with a high group and low score for his first stage but managed to keep all but one in the middle for his second stage to finish one point behind.
