Bathurst Rifle Club Inc 7th March 2015 W Cutler Cup, 500yards It was a fine warm day with little to no breeze for much of the afternoon and conditions for target shooting were just short of perfect. Scores, particularly from the target rifle group reflected that, but the F-class competitors, except for Grahame Willis, were a little short of their best form. The first stage was variable with some minor but rapid changes to the strength and direction of the south west breeze. Steve Williams shot a 50.05 possible and Graeme Bright continued to tighten his group and eliminate the wild shots scoring 49.02, his one blemish being a windage shot at three o'clock. Dennis Lavelle and Gordon Shepherd matched scores shooting 47.04 apiece whilst John Coghill was again quite wayward managing just 42.01 in an inner four riddled stage.

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc 28th February 2015 W Cutler Cup, 300yards The conditions for Saturday's first round of the W Cutler Cup were as near perfect as can be found on the Bathurst rifle range, normally known for its high degree of difficulty. The short 300 yard distance added to the chances of shooters obtaining a Championship "keeper". The two leading contenders showed their wares with high centre bull's eye possible's, Nick Cock just missing the perfect possible, shooting 50.09 in a masterful display. Steve Williams countered with 50.05, but the scores tailed off from that point. Graeme Bright battled hard with an uncertain 48.02 whilst Dennis Lavelle and Ron Gibson fought out B grade. Both shot 46.03 whilst collecting a dreaded magpie three along the way. Gordon Shepherd again showed the consistency which has him in the running for the Club Championship with 47.04.

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc 21st February 2015 J Wilde Memorial Trophy 900yards Saturdays shoot was bedevilled by a strong mirage which hardly let up all day. The east-north-east breeze was also a levelling factor with changes of 2-3 points quite common. Gordon Shepherd was again the standout with a first stage 50.02 possible, followed by fellow target rifle shooters Graeme Bright, Steve Williams and Dennis Lavelle who all dropped just the one point in their first foray at the mound. Grahame Willis did best in the F-class group with a 56.1, his stage unfortunately spoiled by a first shot inner four. The second stage was entirely Nick Cock's as he grabbed the A grade Cock of the Walk with a day topping 50.04, underlining his Australian Team credentials. Somewhat surprisingly no-one was able to match that score with Bright getting just 47.04,

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc 14th February 2015 J Wilde Memorial Trophy 800yards A rain squall early in the day did not dampen the enthusiasm of shooters returning from a short break as the conditions moderated to a very light fluky breeze which did little to challenge most of the competitors. For the first time in several weeks multiple possibles were attained and scores were above or close to handicap levels. The first stage before the rain was a little more difficult and several competitors found the light breeze challenging. Not so, Nick Cock who just missed a possible with a last shot inner four for 49.03 and Graeme Bright who despite a wobble inner four early on shot a 49.02. Steve Williams replied with 48.03 but from then on scores became ugly. Gordon Shepherd and John Coghill both collected magpie threes in their scores of 45.03 whilst Dennis Lavelle, 44.02, and Ron Gibson, 41.02, fared even worse.
