Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 22nd May 2021, W & J Brown Shield 900 Yards. Saturday 22nd May saw the final round of the W & J Brown Shield at 900 yards which also concluded the 2021 Club Championship, Gurdon Cup and A Pratley Shield competitions. Shooters enjoyed some of the best shooting conditions seen from the 900 yard line in quite a while with only an occasional drift of mirage to contend with and scores for the day averaged better than usual for a 900 yard shoot. Graeme Bright led the way again for the Target Rifle shooters completing his first stage without losing a point to finish the day two points ahead of Gordon Shepherd who also had a good first stage score dropping only one point. John Coghill finished next down with Charlie Bennett following closely ahead of Ron Gibson.

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 15th May 2021, W & J Brown Shield 700 & 800 Yards. Saturday 8th May saw the start of the W & J Brown Shield at 700 yards with only light conditions so some good scores may have been expected and at the end of the day almost half the shooters had scored to their handicap. Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 1st May 2021, J Sibera Trophy 300 Yards. Saturdays 300 yards round of the J Sibera Trophy allowed shooters to test out their equipment with very light wind and mirage giving some great shooting conditions. Graeme Bright led the way in Target Rifle dropping just one point in each stage for the day with John Coghill next best starting each stage with a run of centre bulls but unfortunately didn’t keep up the momentum during each stage. Ron Gibson kept his shots centred in the conditions but lost points due to some vertical dispersion of shots

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 17th April 2021, C R Kelly Cup 900 Yards. The final round of the C R Kelly Cup was contested on Saturday 17th April at 900 yards in mild weather where most could have expected good results but the slight and unpredictable breezes coming up the range combined with the swinging mirage proved difficult for most shooters. Gordon Shepherd topped the scores in Target Rifle Class leading John Coghill and Ron Gibson by a respectable margin for the afternoons shooting although all were probably disappointed with results for the day.

Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 24th April 2021, J. Sibera Trophy 5/600 Yards. Last Saturday Bathurst Rifle Club staged a “catch up” match in the morning from 500yds, which was then followed by a 600yd match in the afternoon. Both matches counted towards the Club Championship and the J. Sibera Trophy. A fine and sunny morning with little or no wind had competitors anticipating record scores at least for the 500yd match. However, Jeff Eppleston, shooting in F Class, proved to be the only one to live up to expectations. He would in fact go on to be the stand out performer on the day.
